Brief Biography

Brief Biography of Dr Kyi Kyi Thaw
Dr Kyi Kyi Thaw was born in Yangon in 1965. She got BSc (Zoology) in 1985, BSc Honours (Zoology) in 1986 and MSc (Zoology) in 1995 from Yangon University. In 2013, she got PhD (zoology) from Mandalay University. She is now serving as Professor, Department of Zoology, Shwebo University.

ဒေါက်တာကြည်ကြည်သော်ကို ၁၉၆၅ ခုနှစ်တွင် ရန်ကုန်မြို့၌ မွေးဖွားခဲ့သည်။ ရန်ကုန်တက္ကသိုလ်မှ ၁၉၈၅ ခုနှစ်တွင် သိပ္ပံဘွဲ့၊ ၁၉၈၆ ခုနှစ်တွင် သိပ္ပံ(ဂုဏ်ထူး)ဘွဲ့နှင့် ၁၉၉၅ ခုနှစ်တွင် မဟာသိပ္ပံဘွဲ့များကို သတ္တဗေဒဘာသာရပ်အထူးပြုဖြင့် ရရှိခဲ့သည်။ ၂၀၁၃ ခုနှစ်တွင် ပါရဂူဘွဲ့ကို သတ္တဗေဒဘာသာရပ်အထူးပြုဖြင့် မန္တလေးတက္ကသိုလ်မှ ရရှိခဲ့သည်။ ယခုအချိန်တွင် ရွှေဘိုတက္ကသိုလ်၊ သတ္တဗေဒဌာန၌ ပါမောက္ခအဖြစ် တာ၀န်ထမ်းဆောင်လျက်ရှိပါသည်။

History

Department of Zoology is offered undergraduate programme since 2011 and is now offering postgraduate programme as well. The former heads of the department were U Tin Maung Oo, U Toe Hlaing, Dr Khin Than Kyi , U Kyaw Htoo , U Myint Swe, U Saw Htoo Phaw, U Nathan, Daw Aye Aye and U Lwin Myint. Dr Khin Than Htay is the current professor and head of the department of Zoology.

Envisions to inculcate the highest value of life, science education, respect for development of ecosystem and concern for educational value among students through good scientific practices.
